Living abroad for us can feel like a dream until you run up against reality. Safety abroad is my number concern and is one of those realities that doesn’t get talked about enough, especially when you move somewhere new. I believe in honesty and transparency. So instead of painting a perfect picture, I want to share what’s really happening or what the data is saying is happening now in the Dominican Republic when it comes to crime and safety. I would take some of this data with a grain of salt considering who’s compiling it, but nonetheless, there is always a kernel of truth in data.
