Unstuck Yourself!

Personal Note from Me

Before I ever moved abroad, before I ever built a business, before I ever experienced real freedom, I had years where I felt completely stuck. I was working, doing everything I thought was “right,” following the script. But deep down I knew I wasn't living the life I was meant for.

I remember working in Miami on Biscayne Blvd and going out to lunch and walked to the Publix about 3 blocks over. If you know anything about Publix their sub sandwiches are fire. And I remember looking around at all the people who were slowly walking around pushing a shopping cart at 1pm and I thought to myself, how is this so?

Yes, I know it could have been multiple reasons, could have been an off day for some, may have been on break like me, but I’m sure in my mind this wasn’t case. These people were free to live the life they wanted at least that’s what I took from it.

I wanted this life, where I could go to the grocery store at 1pm and shop if I wanted. But I felt stuck. I didn’t feel stuck because I lacked opportunity. I felt stuck because I was living on autopilot, repeating the same habits, thoughts, and routines that kept me in the same place.

In that moment everything changed. This is when I stopped waiting for life to give me freedom… and decided to build it. Not overnight. Not perfectly. But deliberately.

If you’re in that place right now knowing there’s more for you but unsure how to get there this month’s newsletter series will be about this.

1. First Step: You Don’t Need a New Life — You Need a New Mindset

Before anything changes outside of you, something has to shift inside of you.

Most people stay stuck because their thoughts sound like:

“I wish I could change my life, but I don’t know where to start.”

The mindset shift looks like:

“Other people have figured this out. I can, too. What’s one action I can take today?”

Same situation. Different power level. Freedom starts the moment you stop believing you’re trapped. Once you release yourself from this type of thinking the wheels start to turn.

2. Audit Your Habits: Your Results Are a Reflection of Your Routine

Want to know where your life is headed?
Look at what you do every day. This will tell everything.

Ask yourself:

  • Are my habits aligned with the future I want or the life I'm trying to escape?

  • Am I spending more time reacting… or building?

  • If I repeated today for the next 5 years, would I like the results?

You don’t need to change everything.
You just need to change the things that compound.

Start small:
10 minutes a day learning a money skill
30 minutes a day building a side hustle
One new habit that replaces a draining one

Small daily habits → big long-term transformations.

3. If You Want Financial Freedom, Build Skills That Create Options

Most people stay stuck because they're too focused on earning money instead of building skills that make money. You don’t become financially free by working harder. This is a false belief. Dead it, right now if you want your life to change. The way you become financially free is by becoming more valuable. Yes, hard work is noble and there’s dignity in it, but it won’t make you valuable in itself.

I use to work in a Manufacturing and Distribution facility for 15 years as a Human Resources Generalist. The people out in the plant that were packing product, moving boxes, driving forklifts, worked very hard, but no more value was created outside of those job functions.

There are 3 pathways that lead almost anyone to financial freedom:

FREEDOM PATH

REALITY CHECK

Build a high-value skill

People get paid based on value, not effort

Create income outside a job

Freelancing, consulting, content, digital products

Invest intentionally

Eventually, money has to work so you don’t have to

The question isn’t: “What job pays more?”
It’s: “What skill could I learn in the next 6–12 months that changes my earning power forever?” Bingo!!

4. You Can’t Become a New You in the Same Environment

Nothing keeps people more stuck than staying around people who think the same, complain the same, and believe the same limits. Thankfully, I was always aware I needed to be around people who knew more than me that I could learn from.

If everyone around you:

  • fears risk

  • thinks financial freedom is “unrealistic”

  • believes you should “just be grateful”

…then your environment is imprisoning your future.

You don’t need people who remind you of who you were. Unfortunately, this is what most of your old friends do.

You need people who reflect who you're becoming. People who:
Normalize success
Talk about money, opportunity, ideas, not drama
Live the mindset and lifestyle you're working toward
Challenge you instead of comforting your excuses

If everyone around you thinks your dreams are unrealistic, you’re in the wrong room.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your future is change who you are around in the present.

5. Discipline > Motivation: The Real Formula for Momentum

I was never one of those people that need someone or something to light a fire under my ass to be inspired. You don’t get unstuck by waiting to feel inspired.
You get unstuck by taking action even when you're uncomfortable.

Here’s how personal transformation really works:

Identity → Habits → Results → Confidence → Momentum → Lifestyle

Say it out loud:
“I don’t need motivation. I need consistency.” Now say it 10 more times. And continue to say it until you believe it and get to work.

The moment you act like the future version of yourself, even before you feel ready, you start becoming them. I’ll let you in on a little secret, that’s my “secret sauce”. I always operate in the version I want to be before it happens. And the cool thing bout this is….it eventually happens. Don’t ask me how, I don’t care, I just know it works.

Do we know how a light switch works? Most don’t we know when we hit the switch the lights comes on. Don’t get in the weeds on the “how”.

The Truth Most People Don’t Want to Hear

You’re not stuck because you don’t know what to do.
You’re stuck because you haven’t fully decided to do it (facts).

The door isn’t locked.
You’re just standing in front of it.

But ONE decision…
ONE habit…
ONE shift in belief…
can change the next 5 years of your life.

And the moment you upgrade your mindset, habits, community, and money strategy…
Your life can’t stay the same. Notice I said “can’t”. It’s impossible. The world operates on Universal Laws, you can operate within them or outside of them, you’re choice.

You don’t have to move abroad, quit your job today, or take a massive risk to change your life.

You just have to stop living on autopilot.

And start acting like the future version of you deserves better, today.

BONUS: The “Unstuck & Free” Checklist

I want to give you a checklist that was given to me on my journey when I started to change my mindset.

MINDSET

☐ Stop asking “Why is this so hard?” and Start asking “What’s my next smart move?”
☐ Replace self-doubt with evidence-based thinking (“If someone else did it, I can too.”)
☐ Commit to identity shift, not temporary motivation. Become the person you want to be.

HABITS

☐ Choose one habit that builds your future and do it daily
☐ Replace one habit that drains you (scrolling, numbing, escaping)
☐ Track inputs, not just outcomes

MONEY & SKILLS

☐ Pick 1 online or remote-friendly skill to learn this year
☐ Build one stream of income outside a paycheck
☐ Automate saving + investing, even in small amounts

ENVIRONMENT

☐ Join one room, community, or network where people think bigger
☐ Limit conversations with anyone who keeps you small
☐ Follow people who expand your belief, not your anxiety

IDENTITY

☐ Stop waiting to “feel ready” act like the version of you who already has freedom
☐ Make decisions from where you’re going, not where you are
☐ Remind yourself daily: “My future self is depending on me.”

Follow this checklist and you’ll see how much things can change for you that you never imagined.

Until then,
Always keep you goals at the forefront of your mind. Always live in the present, because that’s the only way, you gonna live your best life.
